About RCST 2024

Central Campus of Technology, Dharan, Sunsari is organizing a two-day multidisciplinary scientific conference entitled “Regional Conference on Science & Tech” on 25th and 26thof Baishakh 2081 (7th and 8th May 2024, supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal. The seminar aims to bring together the faculty members and the students from different Campuses of eastern Nepal to discuss and exchange ideas on ongoing research in the field of science and technology.
Multidisciplinary contributions dealing with the studies, observations, and experiments on Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Zoology, Botany and Microbiology are warmly welcomed. Faculty members involved in research or PhD, students involved in thesis research, project works are encouraged to submit and present their studies, results of their research, as well as ideas or projects.
The main aim of this conference is to bring together all the brilliant minds of eastern Nepal working in the field of Science and Technology so that researchers may use this conference as a platform to present or bring their ideas among scientific communities. Interactions and discussions on research among the scientific communities may further generate new ideas or reshape the existing ideas of the researchers. Furthermore, we also believe a quality time spent under the same roof will allow for the development or strengthening of collaborations between faculty members, researchers and students.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Welcome to the inaugural Regional Conference in Science and Technology (RCST 2024). This marks the first event in a series initiated by the Special Interest Group on Science and Technology at CCT, Dharan. The debut RCST is being hosted in CCT Dahran, a prominent academic hub for Science and Technology in Nepal.
RCST 2024 invites all the faculty, students and industrial practitioners to submit abstracts related to recently completed or ongoing research for either oral or poster presentation in the areas of physical and biological sciences including Computer Science and IT.
The Scientific Review Committee will select talks or posters based on the number of the submitted abstract. The type of presentation will be informed to the authors via mail in early working hours of 20th Baishakh 2081 (2nd May 2024).

Instructions for Authors:

The abstract must be in English within 350 words.

Title:
Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, centered, line spacing 1.5, arranged on 1-2 lines.

Authors Information:
Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, centered, line spacing 1.5, full name (e.g.: Ram Bahadur Rai). In the case of two authors, they must be separated by ‘and‘, identified by a number to identify the institute they belong to (e.g.: Ram Bahadur Rai1 and Hari Bahadur Limbu2). In case of multiple authors, they must be separated by a comma and identified by a number to identify the institute they belong to (e.g.: Ram Bahadur Rai1, Hari Bahadur Limbu2, Geeta Karki3).
Speaker name should be identified by an asterisk (*) along with the number used to identify the institution.

Affiliations:
The list of institutes (Institute name, Department, City, Country) must be reported after the author list and a letter or number related to one or more of the authors must identify each institute.
Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, centered.

Text:Times New Roman, 12 pt, normal, justified, line spacing 1.5, paragraph indentation 0.5 cm, left and right margins 2 cm, top and bottom margins 2.5 cm. Summaries must consist of text only, without figures or tables.

Keyword:
Times New Roman, 12 pt, normal, aligned left; maximum of five keywords.

  • For each accepted paper, at least one author needs to register and present the paper.
  • Payments once made are non-refundable and there is no cancellation policy.
